About Ms. Bishop...
Welcome again to kindergarten and FHSA! I am so excited to be a part of the Forest Heights STEM Academy kindergarten team! I am especially excited to be your teacher this year! I know this will be a great year! I cannot wait to get to know all about each one of you!
I also feel like you should have some background information on me. I was born and raised here in Little Rock. I am an avid animal lover and spoil my Jack Russell Terrier Mix and Lab/Terrier Mix rotten! When I am not loving on my dogs, Tallie Mae and Millie Kate, I am spending time with my four year old nephew!
I graduated from the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs. It is the only public residential high school for juniors and seniors in Arkansas. After high school, I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in December of 2013. I am currently working on a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a graduate certification in literacy intervention from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I will graduate in December. I taught the 2013-2014 school year for the Little Rock School District in a kindergarten classroom that I took over in November. It was a very challenging and yet an extremely rewarding experience. For the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years I taught first grade at Forest Heights. Last year I moved back to kindergarten and I am very excited to be teaching kindergarten again this year at Forest Heights STEM Academy!
